I really liked this book. The story's about a boy named David who goes to live with a woman named Liz and her daughter Lucy. In the story Liz makes clay dragons. But, then they become real. And then Liz's "aunt" Gwillana comes to visit. But she turns out to be sort of a witch. And she takes over the house and David has to defeat her.

Didn’t Like It

I really enjoyed the first book in this series, The Fire Within, and because it was basically just a fun fantasy story I allowed my 8 year old to read it as well. We were both eager to read Icefire. I was sorely disappointed with this second book. Not in the story-telling. It's a well written book. What disappointed me was that a book that is written for impressionable young children would have a main character talking about moving in with his girlfriend, mystical (New Age) religious...
