“An awesome book with a lot of great content. Definitely learned a lot from this book. Covers important topics like labeling, taxonomies, data structuring, and consistency. It does a good job to justify the role of an information architect in an organization and how IA is intertwined in other tech roles (web designer, usability expert, developer, designer, etc.). Highly recommend this if you’re a web designer or usability expert. The only drawback is that, because it’s so thorough, the material / tone may sound dry and a little boring. Nonetheless, the content is great!”

Bought second edition in 2002
Bought this, the third edition, in 2006.
And after all these years (and editions), this book continues to be a constant companion, a classic for both newbies and well-seasoned AI / IxD / UX / UxD professionals.”
“Classic, a primer, still the reference on IA”

In combination with the Nielsen classic you're set.”
