This book is absolutely hilarious! George Carlin was a comedic genius, picking apart the little things of everyday society. Due to the mature content of this book, I recommend this book to whoever doesn't mind a few swear words, I mean really, they are just words.

Not sure about this book. A gift from a friend. I never really watched him on tv nor have I seen him on stage.

I received this book a couple holidays ago from a friend of mine and was glad to have a reason to pull it off my shelf. I'm glad I read the whole thing through, but this is really a book that should probably be picked up now and again, flipped to a random page, and read for a laugh before being put down again. Even the most hardcore of George Carlin fans probably couldn't sit through 5 hours of his stand-up routine, which is basically what this is but in written form. Overall amusing, but am a little glad to be moving on to something else.

This book was quite hilarious. A lot of it I have heard already through his HBO specials, but half of it was new material I never heard before. I laughed out loud quite a bit, and people thought I was weird. But it is a good book to read if you need a hearty laugh.

Carlin is genius and at other points he is a total wack-job. I recommend his actual stand up performances over his books. Half of his routine is based upon his gestures and the sound of his sarcasm. For me, it did not translate well into written words.

It's a riot, listening to the audiobook edition of it--and you can imagine his voice reading it once you read the book just by itsef, too! I love George Carlin.
