according to this book every major mesoamerican culture (olmec, toltec, aztec, mayan) all got their religion and knowledge from africans. WOMP WOMP WOMP. oh and they also worshipped the africans that allegedly came to america before columbus

This is one of the books that has furthered my understanding that there was travel and communication between African and other civilizations (in addition to Hannibal marching through Italy and Spain). It is not as tightly written as it should be, but worthwhile nonetheless.”

The thought that Africans came to the Americas before Christopher Columbus has a variety of supporters, but Mr. Van Sertima apparrently neer heard of them. Nevertheless, still a thought provoking piece despite shoddy research, supposition and poor documentation. In many ways, I am reminded of the old Soviet Union that once claimed rites to almost everything invented. The same oes ith Afro-Centrists who claim anything remotely connected with the African continent as Afrocentric, though a large portion of those on the African continet ould beg to differ by country and call things an Egyptian discovery, an Ethiopian dicovery, etc. Black nationalism has led many a biased scholar down the wrong path. I am reminded of the reception our African-American soldiers received when they landed in Mogadishu, Somalia. Though on the African continent, the Smali's felt no connection with African-Americans.”
