Now there's very little furniture, hardly any food, and just a... (read more)

Funny story about how I came to read this book..I had an on-off relationship with a guy who told me he'd seen the movie and said one of the characters reminded him of me. So I rented the movie. (no lightbulbs flashing yet)
It wasn't till later that I saw this book in the library and read it - it was wonderful! And yes I am embarassed to admit I was was rather like Cassandra in the book.
One of my favourites. The characterisation and humour is brilliant.

This was the first book that I got due to shelfari. I kept seeing it on other people's shelves that I had a lot of books in common with so it got me interested. I'm glad I picked it up, it's has a great style to it.
