Liked It“This collection of some of Joel's best articles for a particular timeperiod is accessible to programmers & non-programmers alike (for the most part), and pretty much every chapter has some fresh (& opinionated) thinking about the subject matter.” see full review » see other reviews » |
Didn’t Like It“the stories are funny. but the book is dated. if you're working on enterprise software, it's a must read. especially if you're a manager.” see full review » see other reviews » |

“JoelOnSoftware is one of the most popular blogs on Software Engineering. Though the blog is not much active and interesting now, a few years back it was one of the most popular and nice-to-read blogs for every person associated with software industry.
This book is a collection of the best articles from this blog. A must read IMO for anyone who works in IT/Software industry. "Mythical man months" is a classic. Its philosophical. This book is downright practical. ”
