  • Susannah (Suze) Simon: The main character; she is from New York and tough as nails. She is a Mediator, one who helps ghosts go to their final destination. She isn't like Father D., who wants to help ghosts peacefully. She makes sure they go out with a bang.
  • Jesse de Silva: The ghost from 1850 who has been haunting Suze's bedroom for years. He is Spanish and good-looking. His real name is Hector. His mother called him Jesse.,
  • Sleepy (Jake Ackerman): Suze's oldest step brother. Like his name, always sleepy. Drives himself, his brothers, and Suze to and from school. He works at a pizza place to save money to buy a Camaro.,,
  • Dopey (Brad Ackerman): Suze's middle step brother. Like the name, he is obsessed with muscles and girls. Especially Kelly Prescott.
  • Doc (David Ackerman): Suze's youngest step brother. He is very smart. He also suspects Suze's secret. He has bright red hair and is the only stepbrother Suze actually enjoys being around.
  • Andy Ackerman: The stepfather of Suze, and wife of Mrs. Ackerman.
  • Father Dominic: He is the principal of the school and he is also a mediator. He helps and guides Suze in mediating. He's super kind and has really noticable blue eyes.,
  • Adam McTavish: One of Suze's best friend in California who happens to like her. He also owns a car.
  • CeeCee Webb: One of Suze's best friend in California who is an albino and the editor of the school paper. She has a secret crush on Adam.
  • Kelly Prescott: The class president and the typical mean girl in school.
  • Debbie Mancuso: Kelly's friend.
  • Heather Chambers: The dead girl that wants her life back. Bryce's Ex girlfriend and Kelly's ex-best friend. No one will give her a memorial because she killed herself.,
  • Bryce Martinsen: Bryce Martinsen is the cutest and most popular boy in school, but he has a big problem that if not solved properly can mean death for him.
