I think to me this book is the weakest of the series, but still quite enjoyable, and the series as a whole is worth putting up with the confusion. I still love how much biblical and ancient mythology the author was able to use in the history of her vampires, its such a refreshing take on the subject.”

“Go deeper into the world of the blue bloods, and begin to explore some questionable deaths amoungst the immortals. Again, the story primarily following Schuyler, but also lets us into Bliss and Mimi's worlds - two very different characters with some very different perspectives on things. This book introduces another bloodline as well... ”

It was very intense, especially toward the ending of the book. I kind of feel sorry for Charles and Shuycler becuase they are forced into situtation that they don't like.

“Every time I decide to stop reading, something happens in the plot that makes it hard to put down. Other than that, I stand by what I said for the first book: it's hard to get a grip on the characters what with their past lives floating around, all the misleading, and the plot being so open-ended.”

“Good, like the first book in the series. I finished this in the car on the way to Washington, D.C.....................and 8 hour drive....................omg............but, this book made the car ride better. I really didn't understand Mimi's character in this book. I liked her in the first book but in this one, she acts so irrational. I just would'nt believe anyone who has a past like hers would go so far. Anway, really addictive and suspenseful but I don't think it was as good as the first.”
