by Alison Croggon

Strong female protagonist. Worth a reread. Magic, suspense, and beautiful writing come together to create a world that draws you in.

This book is too long . . . the plot takes too long to unfold. Skip this book and go for the second in the series. I don't think you'll find you missed anything. If you need a read to occupy time, this one is fine.

all three books are very cool, expertly written, you don't just tick off that checklist of typical events in a fantasy novel. There is tremendous sense of place and character, and great experiences, you really identify with this young lady and her unique role in this world. The third book dwells too long on an attraction & guilt, better to have left that out, otherwise, I anxiously await the 4th book. And Kudos to Croggon for starting off the series with such an appealing work.

i definatly love this book. and for all of you out there that read this book, u know what i mean when i say that this a great book where the main charecter travles through time, life, coming into her powers, and all the dificulties that come with them. i look forward to reading the next book and just hope that it is as good a book as this one is. :)
