I think this is a timely and important book in our Post 9/11 world. How refreshing to read of a young girl's faith journey. I recommend this book frequently and I find it helps others to "walk a mile in a Muslim's Shoes" which is the point of reading after all isn't it?

Wow! That is the only word I can come up with for this book. I picked it up the summer of seventh grade but I didn't start it until the summer of eight grade. A VERY good book and I hope to read more by this author.

The hijab is supposed to prevent attention being drawn to women by members of the opposite gender hence her desire to wear the hijab and even then attract the cutest guy in school is nothing short of hypocrisy..... the storyline sounds fun but it sends out a completely wrong message.
