Filled with cynical, prejudiced notions of both india and america. Not exactly a masterpiece, but there are parts of the book which are genuinely funny and entertaining.”

Not a waste of time. There should be more in this genre. US students should definitely read books like this, in part for the insight to other cultures and also to help open the door into "foreign students" and what some are dealing with. ”
