Pico Iyer's thoughtful perspective and unique insights give the reader a realistic picture of the places he has vsited, this coupled with prose that has dreamlike beauty. Who else can title a travelogue on Cuba "An Elegiac Carnival", or Iceland - "Rock and Roll Ghost Town", Paraguay - "Up For Sale Or Adoption", and Australia - "Five Thousand Miles rom Anywhere".
