“Essential for knowing the foundations of our Republic. Difficult read, but worth it!! Not really a sit down and read cover to cover type book. It is more for reference.”

What I found from reading the Federalist Papers is that the simplicity of the Constitution is decieving, it's a brilliantly constructed work.”

Modern politicians would do well to take a refresher as most have strayed very far from the standard of limiting the federal government.”

I've read parts of it and used it for research during high school. It's a great resource to know what some of our Founding Fathers really thought. Not always what our history books tell us.”

I think that had George Bush not been president I would never have given it a second thought. Madison and Hamilton have been rolling in their graves during the Bush administration's reign. The Federalist Papers should be required reading for every American. These are the thoughts and documents that the men who conceived our government wrote. I consider this the DVD commentary track for the founding documents.”

Very good reading if you are a student of history, or for instance, if you are interested in looking into the foundation of the concept of the separation of church and state (a criminally misused term these days), or other issues such as personal liberty -- really -- what that means, what is liberty? Have we the people sold our liberty in the name of comfort?”
