    Personal Review
This is a very cute story! When Trixie tries to tell her father about the bunny being left behind and he doesn’t understand her it reminds me of the countless children I’ve encountered that throw tantrums. Maybe there really is a method to their madness. I also think it’s cute that the mother immediately realizes the bunny is missing while the father had no idea the entire walk home. Moms really are the best. Finally, I like that the setting and background are real photos and the characters, and some objects are illustrations…very creative.
    Extension
Standard: ELA1LSV1 The student uses oral and visual strategies to communicate.
Activity: In the story Trixie tries to tell her father that she left her bunny at the Laundromat. This book could be used to help students understand the importance of nonverbal communication. The teacher will give each student a word or action to act out without talking and the remaining students will attempt to guess it.
