Cast of Characters/Important People

  • Gustav Amlingmeyer: Known as Old Red, though he is only 27 years old. At work as a cowboy in the West, 1893. He becomes enamored of a Sherlock Holmes story, and sets out to emulate him in solving a murder.
  • Otto Amlingmeyer: Old Red's younger brother, Big Red <because of his size>. He follows his older brother in his escapades, and reads the detective stories to him, since Old Red never learned to read.
