Thomas Watson is most certainly one of the easiest Puritans to read. But in saying that, I'm not saying that he's shallow. Rather, he is quite deep, and his adherence to the doctrines of grace is firm.

    This little book is jam-packed with biblical truth, exhortations to mortify sin, and persuasives to look to the Lord for repentance.
    As faith is a gracious gift of God, so, too, repentance is a precious gift of grace.
    Don't leave repentance off till tomorrow, for that might be too late. Go to the throne of grace for help, for only He can do it.
    "Turn thou me, and I shall be turned." Jeremiah 31:18

    This is one of the things I struggle with most in my spiritual growth. Having the humility to admit I'm in need of repentance and then repenting. Certainly a convicting book.
