This is a collection of vignettes that tell the story of the struggle to control one of our most basic and vital resources -- water. Urbanites especially would benefit from learning more about where our water comes from (hint: the tap is not magic) and what our present lifestyles mean for the different aquifers and surficial supplies upon which our livelihoods depend.
