i loved all of the hannibal series..and hannibal rising is my second favorite. i like to get the history of why people become who / what they are. and i love it when an author does this. it's just with like wizard and glasss in the dark tower series by stephen king. i guess i'm just a pushover for the background stuff...

Oh come on. I don't think it was so dry man. Infact, it is a great thriller. What say about how the movie is going to be, huh?

An issue I have a question about

The man that Hannibal visits in prison before he is executed, did that man know Hannibal previously? I am a bit confused but am thinking that this crazy man knew Hannibal as a child in the war because the detective knows this?

well, it's up to you wether you want to read it or not... it definitely got better, but still, overall it wasnt that great.
how was the movie?? i've been wanting to watch it, but never did because i like to read the books first (with any movie), and hadnt gotten around to finishing it til now...

Thanks. I have chosen not to go down the path of reading Hannibal Rising first.
    It seems unanimous that I shouldn't :o)
