“Though this book was written with the same style as other Dragonlance books and is actually well composed, I give it only 3 stars because of how the series ends. It is a real let down and as a reader I felt betrayed. The set up for the character didn't match the story's end, and I found the plot used for "wrapping things up" implausable. Overall, however, an enjoyable read, especially if you love fantasy as I do.”

“This is one of the best Dragonlance books ever written. It really delves into the relationship between Raistlin and Caramon, and brings them out of their stereotypical boxes. It develops Caramon's independence, and also Raistlin's sympathy for others- but it also shows that Caramon still needs his brother and that Raistlin can be purely evil. It's really a fantastic book.”
