“I loved this book. It is an autobiographical work by the incomparable Malcolm Muggeridge who speaks of his journey from childhood to adulthood as an idealist, and intellectual of sorts, a writer, a secret service agent, an aspiring communist, a teacher in India, and more. This man's life is unbelievable and this book allows the reader to see into his philosophical struggles and development without a lot of teachy moments. Want to understand the rise of liberalism in the first of the last century and its affects on modern society from an insider's narrative point of view...read this book.”
