“I read the first 100 pages of Kidnapped. When I first chose this book I was really exited. Thinking it was going to be full of mystery and action. However this book gets less interesting to me each page I go on. The beginning of the story started out fine, until Meg got kidnapped. It was easy for her to escape. Which kept me very uninterested during the story. I also think Aiden is an idiot. When your little sister gets dragged into the van and the people who did it offer you a chance to come with her, YOU DON’T SAY NO. Moreover I thought her idea of contacting them by dropping the flags was a creative idea, stupid but creative.”Maya K. wrote this review 13 days ago. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? “This book is about a girl named Meg who was kidnapped. Her brother Aiden is restless as he intends to see his sister again, alive. Aiden and his parents have to work closely with the FBI, who recently caused their family a lot of pain. Now they must work together to bring back Meg. A ransom note is given and Aiden must deliver the money himself. When the delivery goes wrong, Meg is still with her kidnappers. This is only the first book in the series. ”Kelly Dell wrote this review Sunday, December 9, 2012. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No

“This was a very action packed book! And a quick read. I want to read now the series before it and the series after it. But this was a great story about a kidnapping and a special bond between a brother and sister to find eachother!”Liz Bryan wrote this review Sunday, October 28, 2012. “ I love Gordon Korman’s series Kidnapped and I’m so excited to read the next book. I thought it was a great book. I loved all the action, fatal choices, and secrets that are astonishing. Although it was a SUPER easy read, I really enjoyed the book.
sum of the book-- (kind-of long)
The Abduction is the first book in the series Kidnapped by Gordon Korman. The book is about two kids, Meg and Aiden Falconer whose lives are anything but normal. Their parents were put in jail for something they did not do, for 14 months by the FBI. Meg and Aiden were hunted down in the time there parents were in jail. To the community they are known as traitors and were not treated the same way as others in the town. Although almost no one was on their side, the family was strong and had a tight bond. Aiden and Meg felt that they had close relationship and would always be there for each other.
One day, after the kids got off the bus a man pulled up beside them, then two men then jumped out and tried to kidnap them. Aiden fought with all his might, but with two big men trying to attack him it was very hard. They ended up getting Meg into the truck, and then they sped off. Aiden tried with all his might to catch up to the van, but the kidnappers got away too soon.
Being the only witness to his sister’s disappearance, he knows he will have to tell someone. He tells his parents but they’re going to need more help to find his sister. They will have to be able to trust the same people that put them in jail – the FB I and the police. In the book, at times they can cooperate but it will take the Falconers a lot of trust when things are bad.
