Dirty

This is what happened…

I met him at the candy store.

He turned and smiled at me and I was surprised enough to smile back. This was not a children's candy store, mind you--this was the kind of place you went to buy expensive imported chocolate truffles for your boss's wife because you felt guilty for having sex with him when you were both at a conference in Milwaukee.... This book was called an 'erotic' romance but it didn't seem to be that to me. It really struck me as a basic romance with the love scenes a little more explicit than in some other romances but not really. It was the story of a woman finally dealing with the abuse she had suffered and letting go of the guilt she felt when she didn't act to save her abuser's life. She didn't feel she was worthy of love and tried to keep everyone at a distance. Her relationship with Dan forced her to come to terms with her past and allow herself to have a future.

I really enjoyed this book. The writing was engaging, the sex was hot and real. More than that, the plot was deep and the emotions raw. I could not put this book down and read the entire thing in almost one sitting.

This was more than just an erotica, it was filled with lots of emotions and intrigue that kept me turning the pages. I usually have trouble getting into eroticas because I like a story that is goes somewhere besides sex sex and more sex.

I loved this book. Ms. Hart is a born story-teller.
