Didn’t Like It1 of 1 members found this review helpful“Thin plot, with underdeveloped characters and relationships. The hero and heroine lacked chemistry (IMHO), and their actual interactions did little to further the story. This was one of the most frequently recommended Dessens I came across, but for me it fell strangely flat.” see full review » see other reviews » |
“FANTASTIC book! Remy is such a unique character and you can't help but love Dexter. One of Sarah's best. Definitely recommend! ”

It's the first book by Sarah Dessen that I have read, and I have been successfully encouraged to read more. Her character development is incredible. You feel for the characters in the book as if you were really in it. Personally, I found myself absolutely loving Dexter. He's not exactly perfect and sufficiently awkward, but just the sort of guy that you can't help but fall for. (Evident in the book.) Remy is also one of those characters who you can at times relate to, but others not. Despite those times when you can't exactly relate to her, you're still interested in her story. Like a lot of others have said, I found myself wishing that I could be in the book. It is full of humor and completely adorable. I found myself engaged from the very beginning, finishing it in three days. It's a great read. (:”
