So, I've recently started reading this book. At first, I had a little bit of trouble getting into it, It seemed like poor Jessica kept living the same story over and over. I know this is set in the Bronx in the 80's, is it the same today? Better? Worse? I don't know too much about the Bronx. The writing style of this book confuses me a little. Is it fiction, or non-fiction? I would assume fiction, but it's written with such a reporter-like style (not suprising given the author's past), and I found it in my library while browing for books for a History project, just a few shelves over from them. I'm not quite familiar with this library's particular set up. Also, does CoCo ever re-enter the story? She just seems to have dissapeared after meeting Lourdes. Or maybe I missed something important?
