“This may just be my favourite novel of all time. I remember that I finished this one in the middle of the night, and then I just couldn't sleep. I had to write something down, it seemed very important and carying the potential of something deeply changing in my own thinking. In any way people might read this, I don't think it's possible to just leave it without feeling affected and somewhat changed by it.
And then as a side note: Houellebecq combines close to everything that I like intellectually: philosophy, psychology, sociology, evolutionary biology and psychology, futuristic fantasies, sex, in-yer-face-attitude and polemic writing.”
