“John and Jane return for another go in this conclusion to the OMW trilogy. Fun, but I felt it was the weakest of the 3.”

Some of the science is a bit suspect, but the storytelling as usual with Scalzi is excellent. We follow John Perry, his wife and adopted daughter on a colony expedition to a new planet. ”

At least, I think it is the last...it was for a while...”
“vol 3 of the trilogy”

Great compelling characters, wonderful dialog... Intelligent protagonists, clever thinking... And endings that *work*.”

Not bad, carries the long-term plot significantly further. But while normally I like the briskness of these books, for once I would have liked to see things fleshed out a little: you don't get to see much of how the colony is established, and some elements seem a bit perfunctory. Worth reading if you liked the others.”
“This is an OK ending to the series. Not as sly and funny - but heartwarming and real. A good read.”
