I expect better character development in a 400+ page book. So many potential stories and so few actual stories. I'd have to see some mighty fine reviews to pick up another of her books.

I didn't find the writing that good for all the hoopla the book received; the dialogue was especially poor. I didn't finish it so am not gunna put it on my shelf or review it, but I did want to throw in a quick "I agree" with a one-star rating.
