Didn’t Like It1 of 1 members found this review helpful“Bertrand Russell was a great thinker. Probably one of the best of his time. He's a man of his age, the Modern Age, when it was believed that Science (with a capital "S") would be the savior of us all. His unwavering faith in science seems naive today, but his passion is clear. |

His arguments against Christianity are thin - ragged in places. His intellectual argument against Kant's reasoning for the existence of God comes down to him calling Kant a Momma's boy.
His "Why" is never really answered. But, he asks questions that any Christian would do well to ask him/herself. God is not afraid of big questions.

“Brutal arguments against the church. I'm not anti-Christian, but I do want to know what the arguments are. This book definitely has some good points that all Christians should consider.”

Considering that Bertrand Russell gave this lecture in 1927 his words must be as powerfully incisive now as then! There are better works available now but this remains a classic well ahead of its time. ”

Russell uses sloppy reasoning to address dead questions ad nauseum. There are so many better anti-pologists out there who actually manage to be relevant and not sound like a Miss America contestant.”
