“This is the 3rd and final book of the Old Kingdom series. I think it is the best out of all 3. It finishes the series with excitement and danger. Lireal and Sam have to stop the Destroyer from rising and killing everything. This book keeps me reading and wanting more all the time. I am hoping there will be a 4th book for the series. However, if it is the last, it is a great finish to all of the books. ”

“I loved this book, but I wish it had had a better ending. The ending really didn't wrap up the series like I wsh it would. Some people -or things- should have lived and some should have died. It's as simple as that.

other than that, I loved how this book flows and keeps you excited. I also liked how it transferred the focus from the original main character (Sabriel), to the one focusd on in the second and third book. (Lirael) Sabriel and Lirael are very similar in many ways, and I am glad it is so, -there's actually a surprise in the story that explains why they're so alike- but it also makes the three books very confusing, because you forget who did what. It is still an amazing book, and I loved almost every moment of it. I wish there was a fourth to finish it off right!”

“Lirael must take up the bells and enter Death to defeat Orranis and his hunchmen. Mogget the cat is my favorite chacter because he's witty and sarcastic and you never know really what side he's on. Great description so good in fact that I remembered lots of major things from six years ago, such as the names of the bells, the waterfall and river. ”

“I know I've read this one too. In fact, I'm quite sure I actually remember how it ended. What a great series. Now I know why the name Garth Nix was so familiar to me when I saw at a library a few years ago. :) [3 Must read the rest and probably the first while I'm at it. XD”
