“This is one of my favorites in this series. Tanner is such a great character and I really enjoyed his story. We didn't get to see much of him and Cabal in the previous ones and my curiosity was definitely satisfied with this novel. I look forward to reading Cabal's.
Didn’t Like It

“I really got into this story. The aspect of double agents was exciting and I couldn't wait to get to the end. I'm very relieved in the mating this time that it wasn't what everyone suspected would happen with Tanner and Cabal. Even though, I did feel sympathy toward Cabal at the end of the book. I was also a little sad at the reveal of the spy within Sanctuary. It was disappointing. I am anxious to get to Cabal's story now.”Myndi T wrote this review Monday, October 29, 2012. “I love tigers it doesn't matter which species they belong to so it shouldn't surprise anyone that the Bengal Breeds are some of my favorites. I love their fierceness, loyalty, and the purring. I was thrilled when this book came out and I thought that finally we would have a Breed triad. The only thing better than one Breed is a Breed sandwich. I keeping hoping for that to happen. I was just about to the point of kicking Tanners butt myself when he finally realized that Scheme was really his mate. I got a kick out of Cabal forcing the issue and I know that he wouldn't have hurt Scheme unless it was the only way to make Tanner lose control. This is the first book that the Breed had so much control over his animal instincts that he delayed the Mating Heat. I was beginning to wonder if it was ever going to happen.
When I originally read this book I didn't see who the traitor was. It surprised me that a female Breed would betray the very people that had taken her in and loved her. This story has one of the sadness endings so far. Two Breeds die and it seemed so useless. One was an innocent that had escaped death over and over and ends up killed by someone that should have understood and helped her. I was impressed with David Lyons. He is a little fighter and is going to do his Mom and Dad very proud. I am glad that Scheme finally found people that would love her and protect her. She had been so badly abused by someone that should have loved and protected her. I was also sad the Cabal felt that he was alone. I know he gets his own book but he was so sad at the end of this one.
This book is the first time Dog, Coyote Breed, shows up. He definitely is a free agent it seems. I am not sure whose side he is on and maybe he doesn't know. Scheme seems to think that Dog is pure mercenary and killer. That he enjoys killing and he is the lapdog for General Cyrus Tallant. Dog's boss is actually John Bollen, who is one of Jonas' men working within the Tallant Organization. Scheme had no idea that John was one of Jonas's men. Maybe the Breeds will finally begin to figure out who the other Council members are and put them out of the misery soon. ”

“The plot was a bit better in this one. As usual the sex scenes were hot and explicit unlike most romance novels. Great brain candy read.”Colleen wrote this review Sunday, February 5, 2012. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“I've been waiting for Tanner's book for a while now and I wasn't disappointed at all. It was nice to see the playboy finally settle down. It was a very emotional filled book as well with everybody involved but that being said...
I don't know if I'll continue to read this series after ths book because I'm starting to see that the story lines even though the feature different breeds are getting very redundant. I'm on the fence about this entire series now.”
“one of my favorite in the series
This book was just so HOT!
The whole concept that these enemies have been watching each other from afar for ten years
And the love scenes wow... They were some of the best in the series.”
“One of the better plots in the series.
The connection between the romantic leads is intense and their chemistry sizzles. Scheme is an amazing character and I love everything about her except for her ridiculous name. Can't wait for Cabal's story.”
“It took me a while to get into this book. I love Tanner, I have from the first book! And once I got into the book I really like Scheme! She is a great match for him. She is brave and stood up for what she believed in even if it went against her own father. The sex was really hot and I even really liked the sex scene with Cabal. What I don't like about the series is they bounce around so much. I want the next book to be about Dawn or Cabal, but instead it's about the wolf breed. I feel like I loose some momentum when the characters jump around from book to book.”KT wrote this review Wednesday, February 2, 2011. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
