“I don't think this book is all it's cracked up to be. It's sited as 'creating' the chick lit genre, yet it falls completely flat.
For instance, there is a random chapter in the middle of the book that is narrated by a completely different character about people we've never heard about and will never hear about again.
I read this for a book club and almost everyone in my group (of around 15) didn't even realize that that chapter wasn't about the main characters at all.
The writing was quick and easy, but still not up to par.”
