Didn’t Like It

Out of the three books this is the worst. All the other books are great and filled with the type of magic that I like. Perhaps it was all the cruelty that was shown to the people of this story by the evil three faced man or my disregard for beautiful nature and animals. Either way this book...

Out of the three books this is the worst. All the other books are great and filled with the type of magic that I like. Perhaps it was all the cruelty that was shown to the people of this story by the evil three faced man or my disregard for beautiful nature and animals. Either way this book didn't strike a cord with me.

Wonderful! The amazing ending of this series really wrapped it up with a mixture of tricky romance, heroism, surprise, and almost realistic magic.

Curiosity Killed the Cat (Emma R)

As I said with the two books of Alex and Nadia before this, I have fallen in pure and utter love with the series. As the final book of Alex's adventures, it definitely lived up to the standards the first two books set, and finished the trilogy off with a bang.

The writing was magical, and I especially loved the ending. The book is filled with interesting events, and definitely packed with adventure.

I'd recommend this book to anyone who loves adventure with a tough of the supernatural.

Once again, pure and utter love.

Alexander Cold and Nadia Santos are reunited for their final adventure with Kate Cold, a journalist for the Nationcal Geographic. Kate is sent on an expedition to write about the elephant-led safaris in Kenya, but as the three get further into their adventure, a Catholic missionary comes to look for his mysteriously disappearing companions.
As they continue their task, Alex, Kate, and Nadia find a tribe of pygmies and discover a terrible land of poaching, corruption, and slavery. To stop leadership from going into the wrong hands, Alex and Nadia must reach into their totemic animal spirits and save their new friends.
I recommend this book to anyone who loves Isabel Allende's previous novels, or enjoys adventure, a smidgen of relationships, slavery, and spirituality.
