“Weird.
This is the first book by Stephen Fry that I've read. I was just not expecting this sort of tortured writing to come from the genius that played Jeeves.... ”

The plot centers around a teenage boy who may or may not have a miraculous gift for healing, and the narrator is his curmudgeonly, washed-up poet of a godfather. I listened to an audio version, read by the author, and highly recommend it.”

I read this as a fan of Stephen Fry's wit and intelligence, and afterwards that was purely exacerbated.
