The first book of poetry to spark my curiosity. Exposed to it by a chance acquaintance, it blew open my then yet constricted knowledge about how to express ones' self with paper and pen. An absolute treasure

Given to me by a great friend, she's a better poet, but this makes for great "I'm going back to NYC to try again reading." Too bad he wrote anything else though.

Ah, San Francisco in the 60s. I got my copy of this book at the City Lights Bookstore where Ferlinghetti used to hang out.
