“I'd give this a B-. I skipped all the menacing enemy paranormal bits & read only the relationship stuff. I liked how the heroine stuck to her guns with the usual Howard alpha male, but the whole "I was an unwanted child; the only reason my mother didn't ABORT me was for the welfare check" got old quick. As in, with the very first mention.
Also I don't really care for the fact that the book ends with a cliffhanger and the follow-ups are written by completely different authors. Not my thing.”
