I thought it was ok. I love the whole idea but I think she could have written it better. I agree that Megan is like, freaky, but I hated that she died. The author made it seem like Miranda didn't even care. Like I said, amazing idea, poorly written.

I think it was awful that Megan died becuase she thought that god didn't want her to eat and then Miranda went to see the priest and he was as fat as a beanbag!!!!

I haven't finished the first book yet, but it is sooo awesome! I love it, and it is soooo sad :( I think Megan is crazy! :( also I feel bad for Dan because a lot of people died in his family, and I feel bad for Miranda because Dan left and her mom broke her ankle so she couldn't see Brandon at the pond, I this book gives me goosebumps! The good kind.

For me this book was very thought prevoking. I kept wondering what would I do in Miranda's place. LOL!! In fact, on my grocery store shopping trip just after finishing this book I fould myself stocking up on canned food items we didn't need. Now I haven't had time to read Dead and Gone but it is on my list of things to do this summer. I hope it is just as good.

I didn't like how it made Christians look bad because I'm a Christian. It also annoyed me that the main character was afraid of guns.
For those of you who like survival stories, The Beginning of Sorrows and the TV show, Jericho are good.

First of all, Megan was kind of insane... If only she actually ate food, then her poor mother wouldn't have felt the need to kill herself when Megan died! So I didn't really like Megan much.. I kind of hated her actually. haha.
But anywho, after I read this book, it really changed the way I see things in life.. And definitely how much we all take for granted.
Anyway though, I just hope that a meteor never crashes into the moon! haha

I just finished and I think the book was great!! It really hit me with everything going on in our world today, we're really lucky... and things could be a whole lot worse!!

If a book can blur my line between the book and reality, its good... and when I took a break from reading to make dinner I actually told my husband we should start stockpiling groceries. He thought I was insane. I told him to read the book, too. :-)
