Lovely memoir that tells the tale of an Eastern European family that opens a dry goods store in Tennessee in the 30's. You really feel as if you get to know this remarkable family as they integrate sometimes smoothly often bumpily into the life of this small southern town. Interesting view of a subject that very little is written about.
