“Great book series. Who would have ever thought that Star Wars could be translated into book form without being ultra-campy. You can almost hear John Williams' soundtrack as the book progresses.”

The story thrives on Leia's subplot, which is notable considering Leia never gets much to do in the EU. Her adventures with the Noghri people let her Jedi abilities shine in a manner usually reserved for her brother.”

That is a tactic that was never used before in Star Wars Fiction and it made it a really interesting read. Plus, you meet Mara Jade and Talon Karrade two wondeful characters. This book also has the added benefit of a search for a lost fleet!”

These books should have been the follow-up to the classic Star Wars trilogy (rather than the sub-par prequels). A good villain, political intrigue, conflicted characters, and good story arcs make up the Thrawn trilogy. We can hope that maybe someday (after Lucas releases his death hold on all things Star Wars) that we may see Zahn's vision realized.”

It's a fun read, and leaves you begging to read the conclusion.”
