I imagine it won't be as thrilling as the Inferno but still a classic

Dante's vision, while important to the theological development of a major religion, is contradictory and poorly thought-out. Dante routinely makes major mistakes in his understanding of science, including referring to the planets Venus and Mercury as the incorrect names, for which the translator has no explanation. Overall, it was a dull, preachy read lacking the clarity and vigor that the Inferno utilized.
