“Alex loved this at age 12 and insisted that I read it. Not terribly well-written (clunky back stories and thoughts of the children) but a decent story.”

“great book lots of good info on pirates but the time is weird it has wood boats and swords but its has flashlights and electricty?!?”

“Connor and Grace are twins. Their mother is deceased and their father who was the lighthouse keeper has died. Knowing that the are ophans, they take off to sea and their boat is wrecked in a storm. Connor is rescured by a pirate ship and Grace is rescued by a vampirate ship. Thus, the story is told in altenating chapters. In the last chapter, they are reunited ready for the sequal.”
