This is a compelling book that puts the importance of renewable energy sources into perspective. Within as little as 40 years by some estimates, our global oil supply may be depleted or have significantly declined. Drilling for oil in Alaska can only extend our oil supply by 1-2 years which seems like a small reward for the amount of damage the drilling would inflict on the wilderness there.
