Yes | No“Stephen King has a book, I think it is 'Needful Things' abuot a town that destroys itself afte a mysterious person moves in. 'Showdown' is very similar. The biggest difference, is that 'Showdown' explores the biblical concept that all of us have evil inside of us...and it's drak, raw and destructive.
'Showdown' also sets up the next two book in this trilogy: 'Saint' and 'Sinner' which will tie into the Circle Trilogy and explain where the evil characters form the books 'House' and 'Skin' originated.”
“Starts out very weird, I almost gave up but then it got a grip on my curiosity. Got about a 1/3 of the way through and decided I wasn't enjoying it, so I quit. Too deep for my present state of mind. Maybe I'll try it again later.”

“This book is the first of three in the Paradise series. This was probably one of the most scary of all the Dekker books I have read so far. Reads a little bit like Stephen King (or at least has the same kind of ups and downs - thrills). Good book, though, with a strong undercurrent of good vs evil...God vs Satan”
