"No, Watson; I fear that I could not undertake to recognize your footprint amid all the footprints of the world." This line is what made me really love this book because it told me that Holmes was human and fallible, even if he was brilliant. This was my first Sherlock Holmes novel and I thoroughly enjoyed it because of it's humor and believability. It's very real and down to earth - it could really happen!
