A great short-story, but like the other Dick novel on which Bladerunner was based, I'm disappointed the Tom Cruise (vehicle) movie that was based on the book didn't have more of the book in it.

Do you know the movie by Spielberg (with Tom Cruise). A story from this book was the inspiration. It is a Sci Fi and very imaginative.

Philip k. Dick can be hard to read sometimes, for his complex projections but is always a great reading!

SUMMARY: In order to eliminate crime, computers are created that can determine people that are likely to commit a crime, and then detain them before they can do so. The police superintendent who oversees the program is set up as a pre-criminal, and must prove his innocence and admit to the flaws in his program. COMMENTS: fast-moving plot

Whether driving a truck through time or dreaming about future murders, PKD always puts the right spin on these stories to keep you thinking and wondering. Additionally, while I find that the movie adaptation of Minority Report rocks, it's for none of the cool cause-and-effect reasons as in this title story.
