“It has a battered heroine, but sometimes the hero got a little psycho and overprotective... a truly bad villain...”

Even the romantic parts were awesome, she wrote them in such a way that it wasn't pure filth but it still made me want to go throw my fiance on the bed and satisfy the urge the writer created! Just a wonderful book!”

The series is the Kendrick/Harrigan series and there's about 8 or 9 books, I think. Its wonderful! Simple, Sweet, great stories. The only problem is that something is wrong with the woman in every book, whether she is abused, blind, mental handicap, in a wheelchair.. Gets a little old!”

A sweet love story of Rafe, mourning the loss of his wife and children, meeting a young mother who is running away from a terrible situation with her new baby. Rafe finds that coming to Maggie's and Jaimie's rescue gives him feelings he hasn't had in a long time. Since Rafe's former life circumstances can be of immense use to these two runaways, it is their need that prompts him to get back in touch with his family and do all that is necessary to make Maggie and Jaimie's lives safe again. But now Rafe needs something: Maggie's love and trust, which are much harder to assure. Maggie's step-father, Lonnie, has a psychopathic obsession with her and will stop at nothing to make her his. His attempts to do just that make for some hair-raising scenes a few times. Totally engrossing. ”
