A fab book, although if I'm honest probably my least favourite in the Bridgerton series so far. It lacked the same passion as the others, but was still beautiful and funny.

Eloise thought she would remain a spinster like her friend Penelope. But when Penelope marries Colin, Eloise's brother, she is feeling left out. Though she has her family and her best friend (who is now her sister) she cannot stop but feel her something missing and empty in her life. And that is when she decides to take Sir Philip up on his offer.
All started when Eloise (who is big on corresponding with every family relatives) sends a letter of condolence to Sir Philip, the husband of her late distant cousin. And he replies. And so starts and innocent correspondence between them.
Philip wants to find a mother for his children who is not at all like his late wife he feels Eloise is a perfect candidate, a 28 yr old spinster. But when he finds her on his doorstep one morning sh is not at all the homely and horse-faced woman he imagined her to be. Soon he finds that she is everything he was looking for in his wife and most importantly she is happy. Now all he has to do is convince her.

While not my favorite, Sir Phillip with love was charming and enchanting in it's own way. Eloise is certainly one of my favorite characters, and the story is sweet. A benefit of any of the Bridgerton books is that you get to revisit old characters while watching others grow up.

I must begin by saying I loved Phillip! He was just amazing with not being able to saying anything compared to the personality of Eloise. I also loved the scene where all the Bridgerton Brothers barged in.. it was just too funny. Another great work with many funny moments to love!!

After nearly a decade since she made her bow to the haute ton and six marriage proposals, everyone, including her own family, thought that Eloise Bridgerton would never marry. So it comes as a shock to them when she disappears in the middle of the night and find her hundreds of miles away from London with a man whom she has never met before.

It all started when Sir Phillip Crane received a condolence note from his late wife's distant cousin. What started out as an innocent letter turned into a regular correspondence that continued for a year. Wishing to find a mother for his children, he thought she would be a perfect candidate, thinking that she was a twenty-eight-year old spinster who was desperate for marriage. Therefore it was a shock for him to see her at his doorstep, not even resembling the homely and horse-faced woman that he imagined her to be.

After reading the ending of ROMANCING MR BRIDGERTON, I couldn't wait to see what happened to Eloise after she sneaks out of the ball and hires a carriage to take her to the other side of England. The interaction between her and Phillip provides much amusement. The way she seems able to chatter on about anything endlessly, and how this both amused and irritated Phillip was actually quite delightful. I know that some people would think there is no way that Eloise would have settled for someone so completely opposite her, but I think that's what the author is trying to show us in this novel - that Eloise doesn't need someone exactly like her, while Phillip needs someone like Eloise to make him realize just what he has been missing out on, especially after marrying a woman who was rather meek and empty (and we know that Eloise knew what his late wife was like even as a child).

TO SIR PHILLIP, WITH LOVE is the fifth in Julia Quinn's popular Bridgerton Series. Although some parts lagged a bit, the banter between the main characters are witty and you can't ask for a better addition than the Bridgerton brothers, whose arrival turns Phillip's rather uneventful life into chaos.

Another sibling finds love. Though an enjoyable novel, I didn't laugh as much with this one as with the others in the series. I'd still recommend it. Lovers of historical romance will not be disappointed.

It began a little bit, let’s say not believable in my opinion, Eloise running of to meet some guy. But it turned out to be an interesting book. I liked phillipe's insecurity it was more convincing then Eloise's open mouthed talkativeness.
But still The Viscount who loved was the best in Brigerton series.

Huh. To refresh my memory for this one, I looked up the Amazon reviews. One bad review complained of "multiple references to masturbation"??? Gee, I can understand how upsetting that would be. We wouldn't want the hero to go blind, or grow hair on his palms. Plus, there's that "every sperm is sacred" thing. (that was sarcasm, if you didn't guess that already). Anyway. Hero's first wife, and mother of his now-8-year-old twins was depressed, and ended up killing herself. In response to being emotionally drained by trying to make her happy, and in trying to avoid being violent like his own father, he withdraws from the children, sticking to his plants (he's a botanist). He starts a correspondence with the heroine after her letter of condolence, and after a year of correspondence, he proposes marriage, and invites her to come to stay to see if they would suit. His primary criteria for a wife is that she be a happy person. Some pretty serious issues, and they're not resolved in a too-easy way.

I enjoyed this book so much. "To Sir Phillip, With Love" by Julia Quinn is about the need and desire for love. After reading the book, I thought about the love of Eloise and Phillip. Their love transcended everyday problems.

If you like to read about family love, you will enjoy this book. Eloise has seven brothers and sisters and a loving mother. She also will come to fall in love with two children, Amanda and Oliver.

If you like to read a book based on letters, this book is for you. Each chapter is headed by a letter written by Eloise Bridgerton. The romance between Phillip and Eloise begins with a letter and ends with correspondence.

I also like Julia Quinn's way of telling about Phillip and Eloise's past. Reading about Eloise, Phillip and Marina, Phillip's ex wife, I began to see there isn't a present and future without a past. Through flashing back to the past, Julia Quinn made clear what motivated these people. There are reasons for the most foolish of actions.

Read this book. I know you will want to read more of Julia Quinn's novels.
