Julia Quinn is my favourite historical romance author. She writes in the Regency period and this book is the final installment in the Bridgerton family series, consisting of eight books, one for each sibling. I thought the first five books were all brilliant but the last two I had read from later in the series were not as good. Would 'On the Way to the Wedding' be a return to form?

I’m pleased to say that On the Way to the Wedding did not disappoint, it had all the ingredients that make an excellent romance novel –pace, exciting plot and ending, chemistry, brilliant dialogue and a touch of humour. Quinn has a wonderful touch.
