Love love love Grant Morrison and while I am not a real big batman fan I adore the Joker. This is, in my opinion, the best version of the Joker in all his glorious lunacy.

I rushed to my local comic store the day this came out in hard cover, primarily for the fantastic art by Dave McKean. And the art did not disappoint, but the story sure did. I find that Grant Morrison is highly over-rated.

Great artwork and a great story. Very dark! Batman faces some of his most dangerous adversaries and also himself and his own inner demons.

This best explains to me who batman is and why hes doing what hes doing and what he is doing. each page is a piece of art,a scenario, a piece of the puzzle. The characters are given new depth to their character like the mad hatters pedophile tendencies and the like. This book really explores the mind of batman and how inside the asylum, batman is among people who are more like him then outside. this book is awesome!
