“I knew the "who, how and why" about 100 pages into this book. It was a pretty enjoyable read -- the "spooky" stuff was a little hard to take, and like I said, the plot was pretty transparent. But not a bad entry into the China Bayles series.”

Very enjoyable. ”

Written by a woman with a woman protagonist, China Bayles, who has an herb and plant store in smalltown USA. Mysteries and murder seem to find her & she goes about getting to the bottom of the problems with the help of her new age shop owner friend. Read the whole series, which also imparts a fair amount or gardening technique and herbal history.”
