I think this book is too famous for me to give a synopsis or plot overview. But let me say that Rushdie's imagination is expansive and the various plot lines are highly sophisticated. His intricate wordplay, wit and humour are very much on display throughout the book. Salim Sinai is definitely one of literature's most memorable characters. ”
